I have been running about 5 years, I have always enjoyed challenging myself and running was a great way to do that. I started off doing mostly track and cross country races. I’ve never really had any exceptional results at either but enjoyed competing at them. I won the U15 national road race champs in March 2007 then that year I started doing a few junior hill races, I represented Scotland at the Marco Germanetto youth mountain running event finishing 14th, won the U16 Scottish hillrunning league then finished 3rd at the Junior home international in October.

I began to enjoy training in the hills more and more so decided to focus on hill races during 2008. I was 2nd at the U18 Scottish hill running champs then 8th at the Marco Germanetto in June. In August I won the trial race for the world trophy and was youngest on the team and finished 41st at the trophy. I finished 1st in the U18 Scottish junior league then came 4th at the junior home international. Since December I have won 3 senior hill races; the law breaker, Aonach Mor uphill, El-brim-ick and also got a PB of 33.23 for 10k

In 2009 I’€™m hoping to do more hill races including some Scottish and British champs. I’€™m also hoping to run for GB at the European and World championships and if I’€™ve got anything left then compete at the Commonwealth championships in Keswick. Winning the junior home international is also one of my targets.

Away from running my interests are hill walking, cycling and fishing.
