Favourite Salomon Shoe & why: Salomon XA Comp3 – A good all-mountain, lightweight functional shoe.

Favourite distance: 1 – 10 miles, off-road, with steep multi-climb and descents.

Favourite race or event: Slieve Bernargh Mountain Race, Mourne Mountains, Northern Ireland.

Favourite Training session: Long run in the Lake District (when I get chance and in good weather!)

Favoured pre- race meal/ snack: Morning races – Mixed cereal with milk + Toast and Jam. Afternoon Races – Beans on Toast + flapjack

Best piece of advice for beginners and young athletes: Enjoy what you’re doing and don’t be too rigid with training programmes.

Interests and Hobbies: Running, cycling, tennis, playing the guitar.
