Achievements: Top ten British & English Champs placings / Top ten skyrace placings / Mont Blanc Marathon winner ’06 & 07 / La Plagne winner ’08 (after being 3rd & 2nd!)
Goals: To try an ultra distance race.
Racing Programme for 2009: British & English Champs, 3 European Skyraces, Turbo X races & TMB.
Occupation: Primary School Teacher.
Based: Cumbria.

Type of Runner: Fell / mountain
Favourite Salomon Shoe & why: Speedcross 2 – fantastically comfortable for long races.
Favourite distance: Anything longer than 2 hrs.
Favourite race or event: Any of the ‘Lakeland Long’ races (Borrowdale, Ennerdale, Duddon etc)
Favourite Training session: Early morning easy run – no pressure, quiet and a good time to plan the day ahead.
Favoured pre- race meal/ snack: Porridge / Muesli & strong coffee.
Best piece of advice for beginners and young athletes: Enjoy your training and always build in plenty of variety (x training, speedwork, hill reps, slow runs, sustained runs, sociable runs etc)
