Progress So Far Written on June 22, 2009, by annaf.
I am now into the 6th week of rehab after my knee operation. I have been absolutely amazed with the progress from being chopped open, 3 days later sitting on a spin bike and 8 days later going for my first 1minute run! Since then I have been slowly progressing in time and terrain. I have been doing strength and endurance weights in the gym and aerobic work on the cross trainer and spin bike. I am now feeling a bit stuck at 40minutes running as I am still in a bit of pain once I get to about 35minutes, so it is taking a bit of patience. I have also been using lots of vitamins and minerals from ZipVit such as Iron, Omega 3, Hemp Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, Bee Propolis and Glucosamine that I am sure is doing me the world of good. I head to the south of France for a week surfing with Gilbert in July and then we both head to the Annecy Lake Relay for hopefully my first race back with the Saab Salomon Outdoor Team. Then with happy knees and my fingers crossed I will be full steam ahead with the race season with a weeks altitude training in the Dolomites and then the 2nd Grand Prix in Slovenia. I canât wait to just get out there in the mountains and run as hard and as high as I can.
