The Italian Job Written on July 27, 2005, by admin.

Whilst Tim Davies was winning his third Snowdon Race in Llanberis, his Saab Salomon running team mates, Rob Jebb and Simon Booth were in Italy flying the flag for Britain in the Dolomites Skyrace.

Rob led for most of the race in front of a very strong field but had problems on the last descent losing out to Michele Tavernaro who finished first in 2:08:30. Simon also passed Rob for second place completing the race in 2:10:08 followed twelve seconds later by Rob. In the women’s race Sharon Taylor took fifth place. This result extends Rob’s lead in the Skyrunner Championship and Simon moves up to fourth.

Next weekend sees the them move on to the 55km La Plagnerace in France where they will be joined by their team-mate Nick Sharp. See the results here or on www.buffskyrunner.com
